Assessment Pathway Application Fee Increase 

 

A price increase of 3.3% will be applied to all assessment pathway application types effective from Monday 3rd November 2025

ACS Holiday Shutdown Period 

 

The ACS office will be closed during the Holiday season from the 19th December 2025 12pm and will re-open on the 5th January 2026.

If you have a visa that is due to expire within the closure period, please ensure you submit your decision ready application prior to the 16th December for a guaranteed outcome to be issued.

 

Decision ready applications submitted up until the 30th November 2025 will be guaranteed an outcome issued prior to the 19th December. 

 

Please note decision ready applications are defined as “all of the required documentations have been provided in the application as stated in the chosen pathway's checklist and MSA Info hub”. If a request for further information is required and made by the Migration Skills Assessment team, the application will be delayed, and an outcome will not be issued prior to the closure period.

 

In addition to the closure period, upon re-opening from the holiday period (5th January 2026) please expect delays and allow additional time of up to 4 weeks added to the current timeframe.

Note to previous applicants

 

ACS regularly reviews and updates assessment criteria adapting to IT industry and technology trends. Because of this, it is sometimes possible for returning applicants to receive an outcome not in line with their previous assessment outcomes.

 

Designated by the Minister for Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) in accordance with Regulation 2.26B (1) and (2) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (Commonwealth Regulations) (the Regulations) ACS determines at its sole discretion, the standards against which the skills of a person are assessed as being suitable for their nominated occupation.
