Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Project Reports

In line with your RPL application for the ACS Migration Skills Assessment, you are required to substantiate you IT knowledge acquisition by providing two Project Reports. One of these reports should chronicle a project completed within the last two years, while the other should document a project from within the last four years. Individuals in non-project roles must supply details of their work experience and the challenges faced during their tenure.

How to submit Project Reports

To comply with the requirements, please utilise the ACS Recognition of Prior Learning Form, which has been specifically designed for this purpose. For further guidance, refer to the ACS Core Body of Knowledge for IT Professionals (CBOK).

Once you have completed the form, please upload it to the application portal as instructed.

Project Report requirements

It is essential that the Project Reports you provide are exclusively your own work and have not been outsourced to any third-party service, such as a writing or editing agency.

ACS reserves the right to employ software tools to cross-check for similarities to previously published material or other submitted applications. If deemed necessary, you may be requested to resubmit your reports for a plagiarism screening. It is important to properly reference any quotes or paraphrased content and declare any information that you did not create.

Each Project Report should:

  1. Describe a specific career episode from your professional history, providing detailed evidence of how you applied your IT knowledge in a practical work setting
  2. Detail a project that is relevant to your current/recent employment
  3. Offer sufficient detail to showcase the depth and breadth of the IT knowledge you have accumulated during your career
