Michael Driver
Chair
FACS CPMike has been a member of the ACS for 20 years and over that time he has been the Vice President (Memberships), the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee (in its variations), National Congressional Representative, Queensland Congressional Representative, Queensland BEC Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Committee member. Mike also tutored Enterprise Architecture from 2011-16 through ACSEducation. Mike was also the Queensland Branch Fellows Committee chair and sat on the National Fellows Committee for many years. He is still a member of the Honorary Life Members committee. Prior to retirement at the end of 2021, Mike was a Director with the Queensland Emergency Services groups leading the Radio and Telephony teams. Over his career, Mike has worked with the RAAF, legal firms, accounting firms and spent 12 years introducing portable computers into Papua New Guinea from 1983-1995. Mike continues to serve the ACS in various capacities.

Dolly Brtan

MACS CPDolly Brtan is a multi-disciplined IT consultant and financial advisor who has been in the FinTech industry for over 30 years. She studied the Bachelor of Business in Information Technology at Victoria University and soon started her career in 1993 working in the IT industry for large corporates and federal government agencies. Her broad spectrum of projects includes software development, network design and deployment for international hotel brands and car manufacturers. Her career highlight was involved in the IT infrastructure architecture for Anzac Class frigate ship called HMNZS Te Mana for the Australian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy. Her entrepreneurial flair and experience parlayed in 2000, when she founded her business into the finance world with an emphasis in technology. Most recently she studied blockchain at RMIT University, on how to develop a strategy and design a solution using blockchain technology. Her keen interests led to become a convenor of the Blockchain Community of Interest group at the Australian Computer Society, with a mission to collaborate, engage, and educate the members of the association on all things blockchain. She is currently also working on developing a lending platform that will adopt blockchain technology

Dr Rod Dilnutt

Rod is a results focussed digital leader with a proven ability to influence complex stakeholder networks and drive transformational change. He an executive consultant with experience spanning over 25 years focused on Construction & Asset Management, Banking & Finance and Education. He is a founding Director of William Bethwey & Associates and an internationally recognised thought leader in strategic and architectural transformation. Rod is a highly motivated catalyst of digital change, he is results focussed and has an inclusive leadership style He is an Industry Fellow at The University of Melbourne where he researches and lectures in Higher Degree programmes. He has authored over 20 publications and a book on Organisational Change. Consequently, he is a sought-after expert for leading companies confronting challenges brought about by disruptive technologies and the need to transform organisational cultures to adopt radically different paradigms of work and the creation of value. Rod is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society, A Fellow of the British Computer Society, former National Director of the ACS Membership Advisory Board and was recognised as the ICT Professional of the year, 2013 in the national iAwards.

Steve Godbee

FACS CPAfter leading IBM’s Australia/New Zealand’s CIO team for over 10 years, Steve moved into a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) role within the global CIO team and after 4 years in this role he retired from IBM. His business career has spanned over 40 years, performing local, regional and global roles, while living in Australia and in the USA. In his GRC role he focused on providing leadership, support and guidance in the areas of GRC to the global IBM CIO community, and on assisting end-users and business leaders in navigating the areas of GRC. An additional priority was to review and recommend enhancements to GRC corporate directives, processes, and enabling tools. Over the last 20 years Steve has performed numerous volunteer roles for the ACS , and is a Fellow and Honorary Life Member of the ACS.

Peter McGill

MACS CPPeter is a Senior Project Manager with the Northern Territory Government with an excess of 45 years working experience, the majority being in IT related roles. He is currently responsible for the implementation of new technology, consolidation of infrastructure, and managing upgrades of existing systems. Peter is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of the project-oriented work for the implementation of the project deliverables, hand over to business as usual and the decommission of any existing systems/infrastructure. Peter has been a member of ACS since 2008 and during that time he has been Chair/Vice Chair/Member of the NT Branch Executive for 12 years, Congress representative for the NT for 6 years, a Congressional Representative on Management Committee for 2 years and is a current member of the Disciplinary Committee (10 plus years) and Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (previously the Business Assurance Committee) for 4 plus years.

Louise Mills

MACS (Snr) CPLouise Mills is a highly accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance roles across the not-for-profit sector. Recently serving as the Chair of the Australian Computer Society in Tasmania, Louise provides strategic direction and ensures effective governance, compliance, and advocacy for the ICT industry. She has also participated on the ACS National Risk & Audit Panel since 2023, overseeing risk management and internal controls. In addition to her role with ACS, Louise is a Non-Executive Director with Multicap Tasmania, contributing her expertise to support the organisation's mission. With a Master of Business & Technology from the University of New South Wales and membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Louise brings strong commercial and financial acumen. Her career includes significant roles such as Chief Information Officer for the City of Hobart and Service Delivery Manager for Motorola Solutions. Louise is recognised for her outstanding contribution to technology in Tasmania, having received the 2022 TasICT Most Outstanding Contribution by a Woman to Technology in Tasmania. She is dedicated to ensuring good governance, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development within the ICT community.

Jeff Smith

MACS (Snr) CPJeffrey is a current CEO/Managing Director and former CIO and has practical knowledge and experience in governance, cyber security, and business transformation with international enterprises. His personal understanding of neurodiversity helped him create and manage world-class teams of high-performing individuals and reinforced his passion for education and helping people discover their best way to learn. Jeff holds a Master's in both Business and Cyber Security, is a graduate of the AICD, and uses this mix of experience and knowledge to bring a high level of entrepreneurial business thinking to ACS. He is the first Regional Ambassador appointed by the ACS and works with ICT educators and professionals in regional and rural to increase awareness of, and improve, the ICT profession.

He excels at strategic, tactical, and operational use of data to inform decision making, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit, empowering staff and partners to deliver greater value and services to clients and the community. With nearly 30 years as an ACS certified Professional contributing to improved use of technology to benefit society, Chris is committed to enhancing member outcomes and promoting quality standards (ISO/IEC), continuing to volunteer in various ACS leadership positions for more than 13 years.

He has held senior C-level and Director roles at leading national organisations including Metronode Data Centres and Optus Business. During his career roles he’s been committed to talent development, strategic execution, and visionary leadership with a focus on building the nation’s IT capabilities, particularly in bringing together business, government, and representative associations.
