AI Technology Advancement Committee

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Advancement Committee within the Australian Computer Society (ACS) serves as a driving force in accelerating the development, adoption, and practical application of cutting-edge AI technologies across Australia. Bringing together leading experts from academia, industry, and government, the committee is focused on advancing the technical foundations, capabilities, and innovation pathways that underpin the next generation of AI systems.

Artificial Intelligence has rapidly matured into a transformative general-purpose technology, enabling breakthroughs in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and autonomous systems. As AI capabilities continue to evolve, there is a growing need to ensure that technical advancements are robust, scalable, interoperable, and aligned with emerging industry standards and best practices.
