About this event
Are you wondering where your studies can take you? Whether you’re a final-year student exploring job opportunities, an early tertiary student considering career pathways, or an emerging professional looking to pivot within the industry, this event is designed to help you navigate your future. Industry professionals will share insights on how IT integrates into multitudes of fields, how skills transfer between careers, and expand on the many, common and some not so common career pathways available in tech.
The event will start with short presentations from industry representatives, followed by a dynamic networking session where you can connect with professionals from different industries. To make networking easier, we’ll provide speaker bios and suggested questions to help spark conversations. Plus, a fun challenge on the night will encourage engagement and connections.

Speakers
Previously a Service Delivery Graduate at Myriad Services, he supported clients across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and IT security. His academic credentials span institutions like the University of Southern Queensland, with a focus on cybersecurity, digital forensics, and IT project management. Navjot is passionate about delivering reliable IT support services, implementing robust security measures, and contributing to continuous service improvement in airport environments.
One thing that kept me going was the interest in learning emerging technology and I have curated my profile close to technology.
I hold a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from RMIT University Melbourne, and I am passionate about the power of technology to create meaningful change. Just as passionate is my commitment to helping early-career professionals break into the tech space—because I know how tough that first step can be. I’m excited to share my journey, insights, and lessons learned, and I look forward to connecting with future data scientists at the event.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with cross-functional teams, integrating quality assurance early in the development cycle and supporting continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, including multiple production releases. I’m passionate about fostering a culture of quality and collaboration, and helping teams build reliable, user-focused products.
I’m excited to share my journey, the lessons I’ve learned in navigating QA and software development, and to connect with others exploring their own tech pathways.
As a previous business owner in the hospitality industry to now sales professional, Trent is passionate about customer success and dedicated to solving challenges by harnessing technology.
An active advocate for inclusion and innovation, Rachael empowers businesses and individuals through thought leadership, mentoring, and community engagement. She serves as a representative member on the Blockchain Committee of the Australian Computer Society, Chair of DECA Young Professionals, Secretary for WODECA, and contributor to the DECA Digital Assets Working Group, All Things Blockchain, and ACS QLD Emerging Professionals.
He is currently leading data initiatives within his team using the Azure technology stack.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.
Disclaimer
- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
