ACS brings to you an evening focused on celebrating and supporting women in STEM and IT. This event will bring together industry leaders, speakers, and professionals to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities in the field. Through panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking, attendees will engage in meaningful conversations about career growth, inclusion, and innovation in STEM.

Speakers
With operational tech expertise, Renece currently serves as COO of Workinitiatives and Co-Founder/COO of GoList. She is also a Partner and Co-Founder of March Collective, where she supports women-led scale up businesses with bespoke advisory services, community support, and growth opportunities.
Previously, Renece was CEO of Visual Domain, Australia's largest in-house video production agency, leading it to acquisition by News Corp in 2021. Her diverse experience and passion for community building bring a unique perspective, with a career that's a true smorgasbord of innovation, entrepreneurship and community building.
Beyond fraud prevention, she’s passionate about diversity in STEM, particularly neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. She actively mentors junior professionals, helping them build skills in data science and engineering, to forge a career fuelled by curiosity and passion.
Outside the boardroom, she is a passionate netball coach, where her belief in the power of leadership, teamwork, resilience, and clear communication mirrors the foundations of her corporate success. Whether leading a team to victory on the court or in business, she knows what it takes to build winning cultures and achieve ambitious goals.
Dr Heffernan-Marks was awarded the ‘Deans Fellowship Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence’ for her achievements in Reproductive Biology from Monash University in 2016. She also received the Academic Excellence Award for her medical cohort issued by Macquarie University in 2022. In 2023, she was awarded the TOW Randwick Innovation Precinct People’s Choice Award in the Clinical Division. Most recently, she has been awarded the LIFTwomen Best Project Award. Ovum was awarded $20,000 through LIFTWomen to kickstart their crowdfunding journey, and recently won the ‘Enterprise, Big Data and AI’ category at the SXSW Pitch competition, with a ‘high commendation’ in the grand finale
Dr Heffernan-Marks has also been a part of the UNSW 10x Health pre-accelerator and SpringBoard enterprises Evolve program, which exclusively chose Ovum to participate in their exclusive cohorts.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
