ISACA invites ACS members to register for upcoming ‘Judgement & Decision Making in Uncertainty’ workshop

Wednesday, 25 Jan 2017

We have all experienced those difficult moments when we have found it hard to make decisions.

We negotiate with, and influence others all the time.  As part of the process, we have to make decisions that need to be justified and measurable, particularly in our professional capacity as senior managers where our decisions have profound consequences on the organisation.

But how do we know if we have made the right decision, especially when facing unknown variables and complex issues, and how do we ascertain if the agreement that was reached is the best outcome that could have been achieved in the circumstances?

The decision-making process involves dealing with problems, finding solutions and having an understanding of human behaviour and psychology to assist with this. During this short presentation, we will navigate the complex decision-making challenges facing an organisation and individuals today.  We will reveal how to decide if you should be making an agreement or walking away from a negotiation. We will provide strategies in relation to effectively communicating with the other party to negotiate the best outcome possible.
