Victorian State Government announces revised date for the release of the 2016-2017 Victorian State Budget

Thursday, 24 Mar 2016

This article first appeared on the Premier of Victoria, The Hon. Daniel Andrews MP website. You can view the full article by clicking here.

Earlier this week, Treasurer Tim Pallas MP announced that the 2016-2017 Victorian State Budget would be brought forward to Wednesday 27 April, 2016 in order to allow for a week’s separation in the release of the Federal Budget.

The premature release of the budget which was announced on Monday 21 March, will ensure that Victorians are given enough notice to grasp the budget and will provide the community with the opportunity to gauge its contents.

The Federal Budget will be released one week after the announcement of the Victorian State budget on Tuesday 3 May, 2016.
