In 2016 the Australian Computer Society (ACS) will celebrate our 50th year as Australia's association for ICT professionals.
As we reach this milestone the ACS WA Branch invites all members and members-to-be, to attend the Launch of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations by coming along to our first event of 2016: The ACS WA 50th Anniversary Branch Forum & Cocktail night.
The Forum will be spearheaded by two of WA’s leading experts in the emergent field of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (AR). Lindsay Fleay and Justin McArdle are at the cutting edge of the current explosion of augmented reality apps using 3D imagery and incorporating real-time interactive object recognition. The mass application of AR is set to bring the digital manipulation of everything into the hands, mobiles and office spaces of everybody. Their stories are compelling. This is a presentation not to be missed.
The forum will be followed by a Special Cocktail session were members will enjoy Canapés, Drinks and delightful networking amongst ICT minded aspiring and senior professionals.
Throughout the year a number of initiatives, activities and events will look to recognise and celebrate our past, showcase the present and give inspiration as we look towards the future and the next 50 years.
When: Tuesday 16th February, 2016 (5:30PM -7:30PM)
