Tech Girls Are Superheroes Showcase 2016 Sydney - Thursday 29 September at Microsoft

2016 Search for the next Tech Girl Superhero!

Join the Tech Girl Movement for this showcase event. Teams in the competition will be showing off their apps, and finalists and winners will be announced. There will be hands on activities and a whole lot of fun! And of course, a few surprises :)

Open to everyone - if you want to play with tech, then come along! Presentations will run from 12-1pm with some VIPs, followed by hands on activities in our makerspace from 1:00pm - 3:30pm. Kids, parents, teachers, industry, policy makers are all welcome - to a fun afternoon for all. All tech girls will receive a showbag with goodies from TGM and their partners.

The showcase is made up of three elements:

  • Welcomes and Pitch from 3 of the Teams
  • Primary school steam
  • Secondary school stream.

Lunch will be served and the ABC will be there to report on the event.

Tech Girls Are Superheroes Showcase    

Children’s Session

The children session at the Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero showcase is designed to show off some of the cool things about tech.

There are 2 streams Primary and Secondary.

  • Primary children will meet the Coding Turtles and then go see around the Microsoft Offices.
  • Secondary children will meet some of the female role models aka Superhero's in a panel and then hear a Techy (Luke) talk about the Future.

Parent’s Session

The parent session at the Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero showcase is designed to 
inform parents about how the competition works, from the perspective of  a coaches and mentors in the program.    

Drawing on a team of grassroots experts; those who have been  through the process, to share the positive outcomes, the challenges faced, strategies  they would employ next time and other useful tips and hints for participating in the  competition.
