Riverpitch opens latest event for startups and investors

Brisbane’s premier pitch session to be held on November 14

Thursday 31 October 2019: RiverPitch, Australia’s leading bi-annual pitching event for startups, will hold its 12th event at Lightspace in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on November 14.

Hosted by River City Labs and generously supported by sponsor McCullough Robertson, RiverPitch brings pre-screened startups together with Australia’s leading investors.

Backed by ACS, the professional associated for Australia’s technology sector, the event places Brisbane at the forefront of the Australian technology boom and has produced over 64 Alumni companies since its 2012 launch.

Investors participating this year include Transition Level Investments, Black Sheep Capital, PieLAB Venture Partners, Mawson Ventures, Full Circle VC and many more.

Startups pitching at November’s event include an equity management service, a project management monitoring platform, a real time pest control tool and a platform to help electricians stay safe onsite.

ACS Director, Scale-Ups & Innovation Labs, Siobhan Casey, said: “Riverpitch is the seminal event in Brisbane for start-ups and investors, and is the only pitch event that boasts its own TV series.

“As an inaugural judge on the Riverpitch TV Series early this year, I am extremely excited to be hosting this event and I am curious to see what challenges our entrepreneurs are solving with their innovative business idea.”

Past alumni of RiverPitch include Audeara, the ‘world’s first full fidelity headphones, designed by doctors and engineers’ and SiteSee, which uses drone footage and artificial intelligence to map, manage and analyse critical infrastructure projects.

Investors interested in attending can contact Tarryn@rivercitylabs.net for more information. Media queries can be made to Troy Steer at ACS.
