ACS, the professional association for Australia’s technology sector, will be hosting a Leaders Lunch on South Australia’s opportunities and challenges in the era of Artificial Intelligence at the prestigious SACA Committee Room at Adelaide Oval on Friday, 2nd May 2025.
In an era where AI advances occur almost daily, bringing both tremendous opportunities and legitimate concerns about data security and sovereignty, industry leaders face the challenge of making informed decisions amid market noise. This luncheon will provide a platform for South Australian business professionals to connect with government officials and ACS leadership while gaining valuable insights into AI strategy development.
South Australian Management Committee Chair, Tapan Dave, says, “As business leaders, we carry the responsibility of not only driving growth, but also steering our organisations through complex and rapidly evolving landscapes.
“Artificial Intelligence is at the centre of this transformation. To remain competitive, it is imperative we have a clear strategy to harness its benefits while navigating emerging risks.
“The SA Leaders Lunch, a premier event hosted by the ACS South Australia, brings together thought leaders, innovators, and executives to explore how AI is reshaping industries. This is more than a networking opportunity — it is a strategic forum that will equip you with the insight and momentum to future-proof your business.
“Join us as we lead the conversation and ensure South Australia is not left behind — but leads from the front,” says Tapan.
Featured keynote speaker, Mr. Michael Donoghue, will share his expertise on successfully implementing AI strategies in business environments. His presentation will cover:
*Navigating the multitude of AI opportunities
*Identifying potential risks and common pitfalls
*Practical approaches to implementation
*Leveraging AI for significant business success
Following the keynote address, attendees will join a distinguished panel discussion featuring the Honourable Michael Brown, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy; Julie Kilner, a representative from BDO; and Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, Chief Digital Officer at SAPN.
The event is generously sponsored by BDO’s Adelaide office. Jai Girdhar, Senior Manager of Advisory Digital, will present how BDO South Australia is leading national efforts in digital transformation and leadership.
Guests will also enjoy a sumptuous two-course lunch with a selection of refreshments in one of Adelaide’s most iconic venues.
