8 May 2025 – For Immediate Release
The Queensland ACS Tech Summit returns to Brisbane on Friday, May 30, 2025 with the Hon Steve Minnikin, Minister for Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business to open the event.
Now in its fourth year, the event brings together technology leaders from across the state and this year will take place during Queensland Small Business Month (QSBM), enabling the tech sector to show how it supports small and family businesses in driving innovation, job creation, and digital transformation across the state.
“We’re delighted that Minister Minnikin can launch this month’s Summit,” said Mathew Eames, Chair of the ACS Queensland Branch. “We’re keen to show how the tech sector can support small business owners in meeting the challenges of the modern digital economy, particularly in areas like cybersecurity and harnessing the power of AI.
“The summit will also be looking at the career opportunities for young Queenslanders and we’ll be celebrating the businesses – big and small – that are bringing jobs and growth to the state and building our economy’s future.”
The 2025 Summit will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including:
Dedicated learning streams will focus on critical issues such as cybersecurity and digital leadership, while emerging tech sessions will take a deep dive into the cutting-edge technologies shaping our future. In addition, specialised education streams will explore the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and cyber security, offering attendees valuable insights into the future of learning and workforce development in these high-demand areas.
With dedicated streams on tech leadership, technical deep-dive sessions on enterprise architecture, cyber security, and a career-based session exploring emerging tech roles in AI, don’t miss the opportunity to learn and network with other ICT leaders, professionals and educators.
