Statement on the passing of Ian Birks

Sydney, July 28: It is with great sadness that the ACS recognises the passing of Mr Ian Birks, former CEO of the Australian Services Roundtable and the Australian Information Industry Association.

ACS President Brenda Aynsley made the following statement on behalf of the organisation.

“Ian was an incredibly well liked and respected leader in the Australian ICT sector. His determination and commitment to technology helped him achieve great things throughout his career, and his achievements as CEO of the AIIA and the ASR are well recognised.”

“The thoughts of everyone here are with his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.”
