Breaking into FinTech: Career Paths, Key Skills, and What Comes Next
Join us to hear from our panel discussion with industry professionals on entering and advancing in financial technology. Presented by NSW EPC.
About this event
Are you looking to break into FinTech but unsure where to start? Join the ACS NSW Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) for a panel discussion with professionals who have built careers at the intersection of finance and technology. Hear firsthand how they got in, what skills set them apart, and how AI and data analytics are reshaping the industry.
Our panellists will walk you through what their roles actually look like day to day, the barriers they faced entering a heavily regulated sector, and the tools and practices that define how FinTech teams build and ship products. Whether you are a final-year student, a recent graduate, or an early-career professional considering a pivot, this session is built to give you a realistic and practical view of the sector.
The panel will be structured around three arcs: how each speaker broke into FinTech, what makes working in the sector distinct from pure tech roles, and where the industry is headed as AI and data analytics accelerate change. The evening wraps up with a live Q&A so you can put your own questions directly to the panel.
Speakers will be announced in the coming weeks. Sign up now to secure your spot.
Why attend:
- Hear real career pathways into FinTech from people who have done it
- Understand what skills and experience actually differentiate candidates in a regulated industry
