About this event

Jay Manley

ACS is excited to host Jay Manley, Senior Technical Programs Manager, Engineering at Tesla in San Francisco.

In 2012, whilst an undergraduate student in Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics), Jay Manley led Western Sydney University’s inaugural solar car team in the prestigious World Solar Car Challenge (WSC). With just $500 and three teammates, Jay created a $240,000 car and 35 person team that competed in the 2013 WSC.

It was this same determination to succeed that saw Jay relocate from Western Sydney to Silicon Valley and excel as an Engineering Project Manager for Tesla Motors.

With the innovative electric car manufacturer, Tesla earning a reputation for its disruptive technologies in the renewable energy industry, Jay will share his journey, lessons learnt and some of the interesting trends and feats he is witnessing across the globe.
