In the not too distant past, security breaches that affected tens of thousands of people would be headline news, but now ransomware attacks and data breaches that compromise millions (or even billions) of people are becoming more common.<br><br>And it’s not just high-profile enterprises that are getting hacked. Small and medium businesses are increasingly the targets of cybercriminals using ever more sophisticated techniques to extract data and hold firms to ransom.<br><br>During the fifth episode of the coveted tech talk show, Jason, Paul and Luke will be joined by an expert panel to dive into the murky world of cybercrime and cybersecurity.<br><br>Chief Strategy Officer of Cyber CX, Alastair MacGibbon, Director of Risk Advisory Karen Guerinoni and The University of Sydney CIO Trevor Woods will be appearing on the panel to share their experience and take questions from our audience with more guests to be confirmed.<br><br>Tickets for the live filming are limited. Make your way through the tunnel and follow the signs to Barangaroo.<br>ACS is located in International Tower One which is the red building.</i><br><br><u><b>Accessing Level 27:</b></u><br><i>An ACS staff member will be in the lobby of the Tower from 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm to facilitate access to level 27. If you arrive early please wait in the lobby until registration commences.</i><br><br><u><b>Please allow up to 1 week for CPD hours to be allocated to your membership profile.</b></u>

  • Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure

Personal information collection notice

By registering for this event, you are providing personal information to the Australian Computer Society. In accordance with the ACS Privacy Policy, ACS collects personal information through registrations and attendances at its events for the purposes of:

When you register to participate in an overseas event, we may send personal information we collect overseas.
