ACS celebrates excellence in ICT with the 2017 Digital Disruptor Awards

Sydney, 3 November 2017: ACS – the professional association for Australia’s ICT sector – last night revealed the winners of the prestigious annual Digital Disruptor Awards held at The Star Events Centre.

Now in its third year, the ACS Digital Disruptors Awards recognise the achievements and talent of individual ICT professionals and group ICT skills and service transformations across a range of key award categories.

“We are here to celebrate and honour Australia’s best individual and team technology disruptors, reflecting the potential of ICT and ICT professionals as a driver of productivity, innovation and business – able to deliver real, tangible outcomes”, said ACS President Anthony Wong.

“The quality and breadth of the Digital Disruptors submissions are evidence of the outstanding talent in this country, and we look forward to the winners continuing to lead Australia’s advancement in the digital economy in years to come.”

“It is with great pride that ACS presents the Digital Disruptors Awards again in 2017.”

The ACS Digital Disruptor Awards followed the 2017 Reimagination Thought Leaders’ Summit and was the final step of an intensive nine-month national awards process.

ACS would like to thank the 2017 Digital Disruptors Judges: Jason Goodridge, Managing Director, Axios IT Pty Ltd who returned as the Chief Judge; Ian Oppermann, CEO and Chief Data Scientist NSW Data Analytics Centre and Deputy Chief Judge; and Lead Judges: Jo Stewart-Rattray, highly experienced CIO; Arnold Wong, Director, Shared Information Services at the Department of Justice (WA Government); and Susan Andrews, Manager, ICT Roadmap for Minerals and Energy Resources, together with the many talented ACS Digital Disruptor Judges that generously donated their time.

The Digital Disruptors Awards ceremony attracted delegates from business, government, education and research spheres, joining the festivities to celebrate the achievements and contributions of these individuals and teams. This year ACS was joined by the Pearcey Foundation which was also a partner in the 2016 and 2015.
