This webinar will explore practical strategies aimed at fostering a workplace culture where peak performance and mental wellness thrive in harmony.
Join ACS as we present Australian CIO of the Year 2022, Sami Yalavac, who has led several high-performing teams as he shares his insights on team’s journeys, challenges, and successful strategies that he has implemented for maintaining mental resilience within high performing teams. Sami will explore the psychological factors that contribute to sustained high performance and share strategies to create a positive team culture, boosting morale to foster a sense of belonging among remote team members as we embrace hybrid workplaces. Sami will discuss the fundamental principles of effective communication, trust-building, and goal alignment in a virtual setting.

Speakers
Before his consultancy services, he was with Bupa for 17 years and part of Bupa APAC’s executive team, 7 years as APAC CIO, managed all the Technology operations and transformation programmes across Asia Pacific and responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable and performance-enhancing technology services across Bupa.
Sami also served Bupa as interim managing director for Bupa’s Health Services managing Bupa’s health businesses in 2022. In this role, Sami overseed Bupa’s health services portfolio consist of 5 businesses with overall $1billion revenue and 5000+ medical employees. These include the dental, optical & hearing businesses, department of Home Affairs medical visa services, Department of Veterans’ Affairs advisory services, Australian Defence Forces health services, as well as digital health care service Blua.
During his time at Bupa, he has led the transformation of technology department, delivered significant number of transformation programs. Sami is also siting on the HBF Health Insurance and Healthcare’s main board, Strategic Advisory board of Optus, Cyber Security Advisory Board of Deakin University, Digital board sub-committee of Yourtown/Kids Helpline, board member of large school group and various community working groups, not-for-profit organisations to contribute the society. He was named as #1, Australian CIO of the 2022 by CIO50and also rankings from #3 to #15 since CIO50’s establishment. Sami is also consulting and advising some businesses and their boards on their transformation programs as well as coaching CIO/IT Executives and their teams

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event registration page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
