ACS’ annual Digital Pulse report has been tracking the challenges for the past nine years and the 2023 report is the most important to date.<br><br>How Queensland will fare in the face of these changes will be the focus of our state launch in Brisbane and we’d like to invite you to join us as we explore the report’s Queensland-specific findings. <br><br>The 2023 report will be calling for a holistic overhaul of the nation’s skills, training and immigration programs to meet the challenge of adapting to the rapid pace of technology change.<br><br>We will be laying out a robust, practical roadmap to build the nationwide tech skills Australia needs while highlighting the need for the nation’s leading groups to come together to build a strong coalition to meet the challenges ahead.<br><br><br>Key statistics from this year’s Digital Pulse include: <ul><li>The pace of technology investment in Australia is projected to skyrocket from $171B in 2023 to $259B by 2030, this rate of growth is three times faster than overall business investment;</li><li>By the end of the decade, half of Australian businesses will be using Ai, data analytics and Internet of Things technologies while the emergence of Generative AI means businesses will need to do more to keep up with their employees;</li><li>75% of working hours for Australian workers will be affected by key technologies, heralding a significant skill shift across industries.</li></ul> <br>Emceed by <strong>Mat Eames</strong>, CIO, Protech and ACS Qld Branch Executive Committee Chair, we’ll be joined by special guest speakers <strong>Sam O’Connor MP</strong>, Shadow Minister for Environment and the Great Barrier Reef; Shadow Minister for Science and Innovation and Shadow Minister for Youth; <strong>Siobhan O'Sullivan</strong>, Chief Growth Officer, ACS; <strong>John O'Mahony</strong>, Partner, Deloitte Access Economics and <strong>Helen McHugh</strong>, ACS President.
