Minh has a solid background in building, facilitating, and leading cross-functional teams to successful outcomes in both small and multinational enterprises. This is achieved by leveraging an uncommon blend of design/UX, deep tech, and business skills that provides an edge in leading complex technical projects and managing their risks to deliver innovative and elegant solutions.
Minh's capabilities are underpinned by qualifications in design, computer engineering, and project management, and honed by extensive hands-on experience in novel technology projects that span computer vision controlled robotics, drone mapping, robotic kites, industrial design, full stack software engineering including embedded firmware, mobile apps, web apps, CMS and e-commerce platforms, and bio-tech R&D.
He currently runs Flynk, a technology company that provides consulting and software development services for startups and innovative companies.
In 2015 Carolyn secured a NSW Medical Devices Fund Grant for $1.1million to enable the continued development and commercialisation of Sound Scouts. In 2016 Carolyn was recognised as one of the AFR Westpac 100 Women of Influence in the innovation category and Sound Scouts won Gold at the Australian Computer Society Digital Disruptor Awards.
In March 2017 Carolyn represented Australia at the SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event in Austin, Texas winning the Health and Wearables category. Carolyn was also nominated as a Finalist in the Innovation category for the 2017 XBOX Women in Games Awards and in November Sound Scouts won Best Start-Up in the Data Innovation Awards.
Awards are fabulous but Carolyn says the best prize is being able to change the life of a child by detecting a hearing loss that may have prevented them from realising their potential.
