Start with 10 tips for terrific table topics to settle your nerves with these simple strategies for sharp responses:
  1. Don't panic
  2. Buy time
  3. Go with the first little idea that comes into your head
  4. Express an opinion, right at the start
  5. Remember the rule of three (you can put some structure into your speech by breaking it down into three main points that justify your opinion or reinforce it
  6. Remember the six honest serving men (What, why, when, how, where and who)
  7. Know when to stop
  8. Prepare something in advance
  9. Draw on your own experiences
  10. Be eccentric​
Finally, keep doing Table Topics and keep practicing.

  • They learn by leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program.
