<p><b><u>A Day in the Life of a Scrum Master</u></b><br>Hirotaka Takeuchi and Ikujiro Nonaka published &quot;The New New Product Development Game&quot; in the Harvard Business Review in 1986. That was the beginning of ‘Scrum’ – a term borrowed from Rugby.<br>That was in 1986!<br>The IT project delivery world is now transitioning to a heavy Agile focussed delivery at a rapid pace. In an ever changing Agile world the role of the Scrum Master is a vital part for successful delivery.</p> <ul><li>What are the typical daily tasks for a Scrum Master?</li><li>Does every Scrum project need a full-time dedicated Scrum Master?</li><li>Is it a good idea to rotate the job of the Scrum Master among team members?</li><li>Can one person play the roles of both the Scrum Master and Product Owner?</li><li>Can the Project Manager act as the Scrum Master?</li></ul> <p>In our July PM SIG, we will discuss the role of a Scrum Master using real world examples to provide clarity on what the role is really about. By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
