The information age is still with us but we have failed to address the importance of information management both personally and from an organsational perspective.

We developed Enterprise Architecture (EA) to facilitate the conversation and understanding between business and technology, but tend to skip over the information component of EA with the belief that a set of data schemas and some usability and web design is good enough. Alternatively, we make the Information Architecture overly complex and less relevant to the business. Information is our second most important asset and the only intangible that remains in the building after people go home, so we need to look at taking better ownership of it. As we decouple our technology layers to a greater extent, the information architecture becomes more important to define and manage.

This session will explore the practical aspects of how the business can and should own and control the enterprise’s information architecture. This will also be placed in the context of practical achievement of the government’s Digital Continuity 2020 Policy.

Who should attend: Enterprise Architects, Business Analysts, CIOs, CTOs and anyone who interested in this topic.

Details of the event
Date: Tuesday, 28 November 2017
Time: 5:00PM – 5:15PM (Registration),
5:15PM – 6:20PM (Presentation) and
6:20PM – 7:00PM (Networking and refreshments)
Venue: Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

*Please join us for refreshments after the presentation.
