ACS Panel: Future of Women in Tech
Join us in Melbourne on Thursday 7 November to hear from a panel of leaders who will host an interactive panel and discuss best practices on building a gender equitable workplace and pipeline for new talent.
About this event
Hosted by ACS, International Connector and Australian American Chamber of Commerce, we are putting the design of the future in the hands of women across Australia and Silicon Valley to co-create best practices together.
Uniquely, this 4 city forum will be interactive and action oriented. Every participant will contribute ideas from their experience to create collaborative best practices for changing the dialogue and practice of women working in tech today. In addition, the event will aim to help build the strategy for a strong pipeline of women entering the technology industries.

Speakers
Bringing more than 20 years’ experience across the local, regional and global ICT industry, Karen has demonstrated experience in leading large and complex business change programs, including service delivery and program management in diverse and changing
environments.
Karen is a passionate and dedicated advocate for improving inclusion and diversity in the ICT industry, volunteering her time to various industry initiatives that encourage women in STEM.
In addition to her client portfolio leadership responsibilities, Janine is the Location Lead for Accenture’s Brisbane Office of more than 450 people, and is Accenture’s Asia Pacific Inclusion and Diversity Sponsor.
Prior to Jetstar Claudine was CIO for Ridley Corporation, she managed KPMG's Consumer and Industrial Markets business; she was the Regional Product Manager (Australia, NZ, PNG and Pacific Islands) at International SOS. She also held sales operations and marketing roles for British Petroleum (BP Australia).
She was awarded Top CIO50 in Australia in 2016, is a 2015 graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), an alumni of the Australia-ASEAN Emerging Leaders Program 2013 Kuala Lumpur, and a 2012 Asialink Leaders Program alumni (Melbourne University).
Solid interpersonal skills. A people person. A committed team player that possesses the drive and initiative to consistently meet deadlines. Her energy and enthusiasm motivates and encourages others to deliver high quality best practices results. Managing Director of self owned IT consultancy company specialising in Transformational, IT Program delivery, Testing services and Operational management.
With her team Helen builds capability through a continued focus on the development of their people; championing diversity and inclusion; acquiring, developing and supporting the business to retain talent; leading the business to better manage change; rewarding and recognising employees; and, providing sound industrial and employee relations advice.
Helen has also pursued a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Swinburne University of Technology.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
