ACS Queensland together with San Francisco-based International Connector are hosting an inspiring panel and networking event featuring international leading lights in tech. This event supports the co-creation of best practices for changing the dialogue of women working in tech today. Our trail-blazing speakers will help lead the conversation around opportunities in tech and leadership, sharing their unique journeys, wins and challenges with candour. In addition, we will discuss strategies for building a strong pipeline of women entering the technology industries.

Speakers
Zak is Head of Business Technology Operations for Qantas Airways leading the Office of the CIO team responsible for technology strategy, the portfolio office, vendor management and the technology operating model.
Zak is a values-based leader with a passion and commitment to unlocking people’s potential, attracting and retaining talent, and increasing the participation of women and young people in STEM related careers. With over 18 years’ experience in Aviation, she has a strong track record of delivering results in business transformation, optimization and cultural change.
Siobhan oversees the growth and commercialisation of River City Labs in Brisbane, Harbour City Labs in Sydney and Bay City Labs in Melbourne. All three are home to tech scale-ups with the labs also acting as accelerators for small companies delivering innovative technology solutions.
Siobhan, has been heavily involved in the startup ecosystem and was an inaugural judge in ACS’ RiverPitch television series earlier this year. With 20 years of specialist knowledge across trends, behaviours, customer patterns and technology within the Finance and Logistics sectors, Siobhan is an industry thought leader, presenting her bold ideas and informed insights in an engaging way across a range of platforms and events.
Prior to joining ACS, Siobhan was a Board Adviser and COO of fintech startup HashChing, Australia’s first online marketplace for customers to access verified mortgage brokers. During her tenure, HashChing successfully settled more than $1 billion worth of home loans.
Before starting at HashChing, Siobhan was the Chief Executive Officer of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), the peak industry body for Australian mortgage brokers, and held senior operations roles at Finware and Woolworths Ltd. She is a Director for Running for Premature Babies Foundation (RFPB) and an Education Advisory Board Member for SP Jain, Global School of Management.
I am an experienced web developer, qualified commercial valuer, angel investor and entrepreneur.
Prior to Dictionary.com, Liz was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development across IAC Publishing, playing a key role in several high profile acquisitions, including an acquisition of About.com, Investopedia, and PriceRunner, and global social Q&A network, Ask.fm.Liz also served as Vice President of Revenue and Analytics at Ask.com, where she overhauled Ask.com’s web analytics system, spearheaded partnership strategies, and drove all analysis of revenue and traffic performance across a 100 million-plus user base.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.
Disclaimer
- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
