About this event
We’re all leaders. We recognise that leadership is not limited to a title or position or years of industry experience. We will delve into the world of leadership and explore the numerous leadership styles, shedding light on their different characteristics, strengths, and applications. We hope this then allows you to identify your unique style of leadership. We’ll also be hearing from a panel of incredible leaders, each at different stages in their careers, from emerging professionals to decision makers and senior professionals. We will challenge the panelists with tough questions about their leadership journeys, their preferred styles, and the lessons they have learned along the way.

Olivia is a software engineer at the Department of Manufacturing, Regional Development and Water in the state government. She is also the Events and Stakeholder Lead at ACS QLD Emerging Professionals Committee. Prior to her IT career, Olivia has 5 years of digital marketing experience in international consultancies.
With her IT and marketing background, Olivia is passionate about problem-solving to create positive social impacts.

She recently started a new role as a Business Analyst at MYP Corporation, while juggling motherhood, and serving as the vice-chair of the Emerging Professionals Committee. Her vision is to lay the foundations of a support network for new entrants in the technology sector.

She is a respected leader in her field in Australia and globally having held tech leadership roles in companies such as SAP, the United States Navy, Rio Tinto, Smith & Nephew, Nestle and Australian Government entities. Marissa’s vision has been to lead the building of intelligent and sustainable enterprises and consistently apply advanced technologies and best practices within agile, integrated business processes. She has an unwavering passion to break down industry gender barriers and promote neurodiversity as a “superpower”. She has a particular interest in inspiring young talent to enter the tech industry and especially encourage girls, to pursue STEM careers. She proudly sits as a board member of Brisbane Executive Chapter for ACS.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
