<div style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;">ACS members are invited to register for our on-line 2022 AGM and Member Information Session. <br><br>Under Section 13 of the ACS Rules, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Computer Society Incorporated for 2022 will be held via videoconference on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at 5.00pm (AEST, Brisbane Time).<br><br>AGM agenda:<br>1. Welcome and Opening<br>2. Confirmation of the Minutes of the 30th AGM held on 23 November 2021<br>3. Acceptance of the consolidated Annual Financial Statements of Australian Computer Society Incorporated (the Association) and its subsidiaries (the ‘Group’) for the year ended 30 June 2022.<br>4. Receipt of the report of Management Committee on the activities of the Society during the financial year ended 30 June 2022<br>5. Outcome of the ballot<br>6. A member may not vote at any general meeting of the Society unless all monies payable by that member (and their proxy), to the Society, have been paid.<br><br>Eligible voting members will be sent a link to vote on the motions raised in the AGM on the day of the event.<br><br><u>Appointing a Proxy:</u><br>If you cannot attend, you are entitled to appoint an eligible person to vote on your behalf. Submit an Appointment of Proxy Form by:<br>•    email to <a href="" target="_blank"></a> or<br>•    post to Governance, ACS, PO Box Q534, QVB, SYDNEY NSW 1230<br>ensuring it is received by ACS no later than 72 hours prior to the AGM commencement.<br><br><strong>Please note: In order to ensure appropriate checks of eligibility to attend and vote at the AGM, registration will close 4 hours before commencement at 1.00pm (AEST) on Tuesday 22 November.<br><br>Professional Year Students, please be advised this event has no CPD points.</strong><br><br>Two hours before the event commences all members registered for the event will be sent a link to access the online portal.<br><br><u>Members Information Session</u><br>A Members Information Session will be held immediately after the Annual General Meeting.<br><br>Items proposed for discussion and Q&amp;A:<br>1.   • ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
  • All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
  • ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
  • Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
  • Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure

Personal information collection notice

By registering for this event, you are providing personal information to the Australian Computer Society. In accordance with the ACS Privacy Policy, ACS collects personal information through registrations and attendances at its events for the purposes of:

  • organising and providing the various professional development events held by the ACS (including for example, courses, conferences, seminars, workshops, launches);

ACS may share your personal information with third parties for the collection purposes noted above or as set out in our Privacy Policy, where it is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, one or more of our activities, or required by law.
