This virtual event will consist of three sessions where our industry experts will share their knowledge about current job opportunities, how to keep up to date with the ICT industry, how personal branding can help you to get noticed by employers, their professional career stories, and share tips on how to prepare for a career in ICT.

About this event

The ACS Tech and Employability Skills Conference is targeted towards, but not limited to, students currently completing their studies. This event will allow participants to keep abreast of their professional development through three industry led sessions that will highlight the ways in which students and graduates can stand out and succeed in the tech world.

Our first speaker, Amanda Stevenson, local Palmerston Street Artist, Digital Designer and Community Development Officer, will share her journey discovering NFT’s, Blockchains, Metaverses and the possibilities of NFT’s and their utility. She will discuss what she had to learn to do the basics, but more so about all the new employment opportunities available in this area. 

Our second speaker Mustafa Kadir, Founder of Visgrow Internships, will speak about the power of personal branding and why it matters more than ever! Mustafa will go through what it means to have a unique brand and run an engaging activity, where by the end you will have a much better idea of the secrets to building your own personal brand, and practical steps you can take to achieve this. 

Our third speaker, Hitesh Gupta, Principal Consultant at Algorithm Technologies, will discuss important tips on how to get a job as a Business Analyst or Project manager in ICT. He will talk about how his 20+ years of experience in PM, cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI, Data Analytics and Big Data led him to his dream career, and how it can for you too! 

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ATTENDEES
1) You must attend the full session to receive the CPD hours. Please allow up to 2 weeks for CPD hours to be allocated to your membership profile. A refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event (if any).

2) When attending virtual events, in order to claim and qualify for the required CPD hours, Professional Year students need to attend the online event in its entirety which will be tracked by the ACS events team. Please ensure you don't minimise your window when attending a virtual event.

3) Event Cancellation & Refund: All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 5 working days prior to the event.
