The ICT industry has firmly latched onto information as the possession of choice. We’re constantly trying to find a balance – where information can be more readily accessed, but without the harm and injustice that sharing data can bring.

Information is power, information challenges privacy, and information is protected… if not by passwords, then by a variety of different and novel ways to authenticate and provide enough belief that someone is who they say they are.

The use of information challenges each and every one of us because it can be used for good, but also for evil.

During the session we will attempt to explore and address your questions and concerns around information and technology’s involvement in maximising its utility and protection, look at issues of human rights, legislation and regulation, and what we as ACS members should be doing about privacy issues.

Attendees are invited to pre-submit their questions on this topic or suggest future topics through the ACS Think Tank Question and Topic Submission Form with the top unique questions being asked directly to our panel and in-room/virtual attendees.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Lobby opens (virtually) at 4:50pm for a 5:00pm sharp start.
ACS Think Tanks are free for Professional and Full Fee Members only.

ACS Think Tank Question and Topic Submission Form
