ACS Professional: Upskill with the Microsoft Traineeship Program

<p>The ACS Australia&#39;s Digital Pulse 2021 report states that the Australian government has once again recognised an ICT skills shortage, with the release of new data about which jobs the country needs most. IT jobs account for nearly 10% of jobs that are in high demand, meaning there is a current national shortage and strong future demand.</p><p><br></p><p>ACS has partnered with MEGT who are offering the Microsoft Traineeship Program that aims to bridge this gap by providing creative staffing solutions for businesses.</p><p><br></p><p>The program is designed to support budding technology/IT professionals take the first step in their career. Fred started his IT career as a US Navy Cryptologist. After this he immigrated to Australia in 1994 where he progressed his career in Network Presales, Business Process Reengineering, and IT consulting.

Fred joined Fujitsu in 2001, as a Senior Project Manager and Project Director. In 2010 Fred moved into IT Operations progressing to his current role as Director Workspace Services. 

Fujitsu’s Workspace Services group has a team of over 300 staff delivering End User services to more than 500,000 devices including but not limited to the following service areas:

  • Direct onsite and remote Level 2 through Level 4 support
  • Standard Operating Environment (SOE) design, build and run
  • Security 
  • Applications Packaging and Deployment

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
