Aurelie Jacquet

Aurelie is a member of the NSW Government AI Advisory Committee.
She also works on leading global initiatives for the implementation of Responsible AI with both the International Standards Organisation (ISO) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). 
With ISO, Aurelie is the chair of the Standards Australia committee representing Australia at the international standards on Artificial Intelligence. 
With the IEEE, she is an expert for the Ethics Certification Program for Autonomous and Intelligent Systems, and leads the work stream on Dignity and Agency as part of IEEE’ s Digital Inclusion, Identity, Trust, and Agency (DIITA) program. 
She is a member of the European AI Alliance, the editorial board of Springer’s International Journal on AI & Ethics, and of the Australian Computer Society’s AI Ethics Committee.

Annette Slunjski

Annette has been involved in data and technology for over twenty years. Working across change management, communications, marketing and business development in B2B organisations has allowed Annette to combine passions in data / technology and communication. 

Working with the IAPA Board, Annette grew the IAPA community to more than 8,500 people Australia-wide. As Managing Director of IAPA, Annette is the driving force behind promoting the strategic role of data and analytics in business and helping the industry meet the challenges of a fast-paced data environment, including addressing the analytics skills shortage and fostering data informed decision-making. 

Key to this role is the annual Top 25 Analytics Leaders recognition program, the introduction of IAPA-certification for analytics to help those who work in data and analytics gain independent recognition of their skills. New corporate membership options allow analytics-savvy organisations to demonstrate their commitment to enhancing analytics capability, advancing the careers of team members and promoting data-driven decision-making.

Annette holds a Bachelors and Masters in Marketing.

Fang Chen

Distinguished Professor Fang Chen is a prominent leader in AI/data science with an international reputation and industrial recognition. She has created and deployed many innovative solutions using AI/data science to transform industries worldwide. She won “Oscar Prize” in Australian science – Australian Museum Eureka Prize 2018 for Excellence in Data Science. Through impactful successes, she led the team and gained many recognitions such as the ITS Australia National Award 2014, 2015 and 2018, and NSW iAwards 2017, VIC iAwards 2019 and 2020. She is the NSW “Water Professional of the Year” 2016, winning National and NSW “Research and Innovation Award” by Australian Water association 2018. Professor Chen has more than 300 publications and 30 patents in 8 countries, and delivered many public speeches including TEDx. She is the Winner of Women in AI Australia and New Zealand Award in AI in Infrastructure category 2021, and recently appointed to NSW Government AI Advisory Committee. She is the Executive Director Data Science at University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

  • ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
