ACS Virtual Tech and Employability Skills Half-Day Conference: Career-readiness, how to obtain employment

The ACS Tech and Employability Skills Half-Day Conference is targeted towards, but not limited to, students currently completing their studies. This online event will allow participants to keep abreast of their professional development through several industry-led sessions that will highlight how students and graduates can stand out and succeed in the tech world.

<p>The virtual event will consist of 4 sessions where our industry experts will give insights into how to prepare yourself for your first job and how get a job offer after your internship. They will also talk on how to promote yourself, how to be innovative, how to start working on your own personal branding and why it is very important. Further, there will be a session on recruitment process and how it has been changed since last year.<br><br>In attending this event you will receive 4 CPD hours if all 4 sessions are attended. In the industry Maria is a connector, known for bringing people, ideas and technology solutions together across different sectors. She has domain expertise in disruptive technology trends, as well as software implementations in various industries. Career highlights include working on large projects undertaken by ASX 300 corporations.

At the end of 2018, Maria left her corporate career to embark on an entrepreneurial journey, and in 2019 launched Markman Media, personal branding agency for professionals, executives and company directors.

Holly has familiarity across all facets of the software development life cycle, combined with a sound understanding of technology impacts on business operations, she employs creative problem-solving skills to identify and deliver solutions that are strategically focused.

Holly actively volunteers in the community, including mentoring and social support for vulnerable parts of our community.

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
