Since 1999, I have connected over 1000 IT professionals with leading startups, SMEs and corporates in both Australia and the UK. Over 99% of candidates I place pass their probation period and become highly valued team members thus avoiding the pain and cost of a bad hire.My passion is connecting tech start-ups with software experts. A major barrier to growth for start-ups is finding the right balance of exceptional technical skills with the right cultural fit. Over the last 20+ years, I have gained a thorough understanding of what kind of person thrives in the fast-paced and rapidly changing world of start-ups. Based on my expertise with start-ups, I have been selected as the Preferred Recruitment Partner for ACS QLD and River City Labs. I am also a volunteer mentor at River City Labs to advise and help start-ups grow and succeed.

Established 25 years ago, Canstar is Australia’s biggest financial comparison website whose purpose is to simplify the world of finance and help consumers confidently find the right product for them. In 2010, we expanded our services and launched Canstar Blue to provide customer satisfaction research and ratings for consumer products and services including energy, telco, NBN, appliances and much more.

Lynne is responsible for fostering across both brands the company’s culture, encouraging employee engagement and developing and leading the implementation of Canstar’s operational strategy to drive business goals through quality research and technological advancements.

Lynne’s leadership role sees her managing the back-end technology platforms that power many of Canstar’s data initiatives, including the company’s Star Ratings research, product database and data feeds to the website. Her teams are also responsible for building resilience into the Canstar technology infrastructure and applications. This includes managing the company’s website stability, tech partnerships and cloud services.

Russell Adcock

Russell Adcock

I am a software engineering leader who enjoys building highly talented cross-functional teams that are passionate about what they do. My experience ranges from Government Agencies, large corporates, to startups in my current role at Skedulo.

I thrive in environments where I feel empowered and the work that I do contributes to the success of the company. As a leader, I strive to create that environment for my team. I believe that hiring and empowering outstanding talent is paramount to success. I prioritise doing things "right" while recognising the importance of predictability and commitments in an engineering team to grow a business.

I'm a full-stack engineer. My hands-on experience includes architecting and building distributed service-oriented systems, rich web applications, and native mobile applications. I remain close to the technology design, prioritisation, and process. While I sometimes review code and often help troubleshoot, I rarely write code (at work) these days.

Finally, I enjoy learning about, contributing, and mentoring to other parts of the business, including product management, design and customer support.
