In this free member webinar, Andrew and Phillipa will look at some common contractual provisions (as well as the interplay between these) along with common insurance provisions, that could have a significant impact on your business. If things go wrong, it could be the difference between staying in business and being put out of business.
With the influx of work in the ICT sector, the focus for many is setting up/expanding the business, getting the project across the line and keeping the operation running, without fully understanding the impact of contract terms that might be entered into along the way.

Andrew Redburn - Legal Practitioner Director
Andrew has extensive experience in proving advice on commercial matters and in commercial litigation. Andrew has practised throughout his career in commercial litigation/commercial dispute resolution. He has provided commercial and dispute related legal services to individuals, small-medium businesses, large corporations and bodies corporate. Before becoming a Director of Active Law, he previously worked for a leading Insurance based Law Firm advising national Insurers in respect of professional negligence, public liability and product liability matters as well as policy interpretation Professional Indemnity Claims. Andrew has also worked with a large national firm, primarily in leasing disputes, trade practices and misrepresentation matters, contract interpretation disputes, insolvency and general commercial litigation.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Andrew was a scientist having graduated from Griffith University with first class honours. It is this scientific grounding that has developed Andrew’s analytical approach and his ability to comprehend varying circumstances and principles quickly. Coupled with his depth of legal experience, he can quickly identify commercial risks and provide meaningful and practical advice to avoid or resolve commercial disputes.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
