Director of Scaleups & Innovation Labs @ACS

Siobhan Casey joined the Australian Computer Society (ACS) as the Director, Scaleups & Innovation Labs in October 2019 and is responsible for the overall performance of ACS’ Scaleups & Innovation Labs located in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

With experience as a COO, Fintech leader and Board Member.  Most recently,
Siobhan was integral to helping scale the progressive and innovative fintech HashChing.  As Australia’s first online marketplace for customers to connect to verified mortgage brokers, Ms Casey helped the business engage over 45,000 customers and settle more than $1.3 billion worth of home loans in three short years.

Siobhan has a wealth of specialist knowledge across trends, behaviours, customer patterns and technology, garnered through 25 years of experience within the Finance and Logistics sectors.  Siobhan is very passionate about leadership and the role that operational and people strategies have in delivering business success. 

She also has extensive experience as an industry thought leader, presenting her bold ideas and informed insights in an engaging way across a range of platforms and events. 
 
Prior to her role as Board Advisor & COO of HashChing, Siobhan was the Chief Executive Officer of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) and held senior operations roles at Finware and Woolworths Ltd.  Siobhan is also an Education Advisory Board Member for SP Jain, Global School of Management an Advisory Board Member for Enterprise Ireland and most recently a Director for Running for Premature Babies Foundation (RFPB).
 
Siobhan obtained an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), a Diploma in Project Management and a Bachelor of Commerce, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.

Managing Director of Matchboard

Sharon is a multi-award winning entrepreneur. Following a career in big corporate across 5 countries, she founded Matchboard, a free-to-use website where companies can enter their needs and get matched with “right-fit” suppliers.

In 2018, Matchboard was crowned “Business of the Year” at the Optus My Business Awards. And in 2017, Westpac named Matchboard as 1 of Australia’s top “200 Businesses of Tomorrow”.

Sharon was named Suncorp Innovator of the Year 2018, and Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2019 Women in ICT awards.

Sharon has a double honours degree and University Medal from the University of Sydney and speaks five languages.

General Manager @Coder Academy

Sally is a former corporate executive turned passionate high school teacher turned technology education enthusiast. She was appointed as General Manager of Coder Academy just over 2 years ago.

Under her lead, Coder Academy has introduced a new mission to promote inequality and drive innovation via kick a$$ technology training. Sally believes that the people who control technology will control the future, and she is passionate about ensuring that this group of people is as diverse as possible. Sally's career began at Macquarie Bank, followed by six years as a Media Strategist for both Mitchell Media and Young & Rubicam.

The next 12 years were spent retraining to become a High School teacher and working at Bradfield Senior College. At Bradfield College Sally spent a lot of time working with troubled youth and looking for innovating ways of inspiring and engaging them. She holds a Finance Degree and Diploma of Education from UNSW, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and a Master of Special Education from Macquarie University. She is a reformed Luddite with a desire to keep learning and inspire others to do the same.

Sally was finalist in the 2018 Women's Agenda Emerging Leader in Tech Award and a finalist in the Telstra Business Women of the Year Awards for 2018/19.    


 

Claire is a lawyer, company director and strategic adviser. She specialised in financial services law for 35 years as a partner of Phillips Fox (now DLA Piper) and her own firm, The Fold Legal, before retiring from active legal practice in mid-2019. She is currently Chairman-Elect of StatePlus, a Non-Exec Director of Athena Home Loans and strategic adviser to a number of tech startups.

I am an enthusiastic and highly experienced Transformation leader, skilled at embedding Analytically-driven Customer strategies into business processes, which means that I champion Customer Insights as a key organisational asset, creating a common language around the customer disciplines and through the integration of digital and off-line ecosystems.

I have a proven track record of delivering business value through data science, innovation and stakeholder engagement, that I have accumulated through my experience across Asia Pacific.

I am an advocate for diversity and inclusiveness, and I enjoy mentoring aspiring leaders to reach their potential.
