ACS SA&#39;s IT Project Management Community is showcasing &quot;Estimating - How can we improve?&quot; on Monday 6th May!<br><br>Join us to hear from industry leaders and experts as they provide more insight into the ever changing world of Project Management and beyond.<br><br>This month we feature:<br><br><b><span style="color: black;">&quot;Estimating - How can we improve?&quot;</span></b><br>Estimation is a key element of the Project Management process and an activity that has been practiced for as long as there have been projects. Yet we still see examples where projects derail when they ‘fail to meet estimates’. The academic literature provides many recommendations about how to improve our estimation skills. Drawing upon this body of knowledge this session describes some practical steps that can be used by organisations and individuals to improve their estimation capabilities.<br>  <h3>About the Presenter</h3> <span style="font-family: calibri,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Dr Dennis Medlow is currently the University Engagements &amp; R&amp;D Manager with Saab Australia, a company developing and supporting some of the most advanced defence, security and civil aviation systems in Australia. Dr Dennis Medlow is currently the University Engagements & R&D Manager with Saab Australia, a company developing and supporting some of the most advanced defence, security and civil aviation systems in Australia. He has over 36 years’ experience in commercial and Defence project environments. Dennis holds a Doctorate in Information Technology Management, a Graduate Diploma in Engineering from the University of South Australia and a Bachelors degree in Mathematical Science from the University of Adelaide. He has been a member of ACS since 1981.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
