Inducted in 2019 to the U.S.. Cyber Security Hall of Fame, Professor Schou continues to shape cyber security education and training across the globe.

About this event

Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Schou has been pivotal in developing secure information systems for global organisations including Microsoft, General Motors and Federal Express. He currently serves as a Professor of Information Systems at Idaho State University and has been responsible for developing a distinguished body of knowledge in information systems security used by over 250 colleges and universities in the U.S.

In his talk Professor Schou will address:

  • Current trends and issues in cybersecurity
  • What is required in cyber education to address current skills gaps?
  • The roles of academic qualifications and professional certifications in the cyber industry
  • Future directions in cybersecurity education, and the landscape in general
