Notice on Voting at the Annual General Meeting

The ACS is regulated by Access Canberra under the Associations Incorporations Act 1991 (ACT), and this law requires us to hold a Face-to-Face Annual General Meetings with voting from those physically present, together with proxy votes. Currently, the ACS Rules do not permit online voting. This would require a constitutional change that Management Committee are considering proposing in 2027.

Appointing a Proxy:

If you cannot attend, you are entitled to appoint another eligible member to vote on your behalf. Submit an Appointment of Proxy Form by:

  • post to Governance, ACS, PO Box Q534, QVB, SYDNEY NSW 1230

ensuring it is received by ACS no later than 72 hours prior to the AGM commencement.

A member may not vote at any general meeting of the Society unless all monies payable by that member (and their proxy), to the Society, have been paid.
