Last chance to become a mentor for the ACS and The University of Melbourne Mentoring Program

Wednesday, 15 Mar 2017

Do you want to give back to the ICT industry and help a new generation of digital professionals find their way? Are you based in Victoria?

The ACS is seeking expressions of interest from individuals interested in becoming mentors to students in a subject created by the ACS in collaboration with and delivered by The University of Melbourne. The subject is an elective in the Master of Information Systems and the Master of Information Technology.

The mentorship would take place in two stages: during the preparation of a project proposal (6 weeks) and during the internship part of the subject (about 12 weeks), and would involve advising students on the preparation of a proposal, the execution of the project during an internship, and providing support to mentees. The proposal preparation would commence in May and the internships in late July/early August, with Mentor-matching taking place in April/May. Training and support will be provided to interested parties. Mentors must be based in Victoria and be active ACS members.

The closing date to submit your expression of interest is Friday 17 March, 2017.
