More than 150 ACS Members and guests gathered last night to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Australian Computer Society (ACS). The event was held at the State Library of Western Australia and hosted by ACS WA Branch Chair, David Cook FACS CP.

Renowned WA personalities attended the event including Professor Dennis Moore, Former WA Chief Scientist & 2015 West Australian of The Year, Professor Lyn Beazley, Former ACS National President, Garry Trinder, and Chief Executive & Government CIO at Office of the WA Government Chief Information Officer, Giles Nunis.

Leading experts in 3D Animation, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Lindsay Fleay & Justin McArdle shared their extensive experience and animation projects with the audience, who later had the opportunity to interact with the speakers during a delightful Networking Session.

The audience participated in exciting raffles and enjoyed Canapes as well as a fine range of West Australian wines especially selected to highlight the 50th Anniversary Celebrations.

The ACS WA Team thanks all of those who attended and looks forward to seeing you at the next Branch Forum to be held on Tuesday 15th March, 2016.
