CIO of the Department of Justice Victoria to speak at the November IT Project/Program Management SIG

Michael Cornelius is currently the CIO Department of Justice Victoria. Previously, he led the Major Projects and Procurement Office, that included financial management of up to AU$50m worth of projects for major procurements, service changes, IT systems and organisational change initiatives across the Justice Portfolio. Michael has held roles both locally and internationally for medium to large commercial organisations, managing operational and technology groups while ensuring that delivery meets stakeholder expectations.

In this session, Michael will be discussing the criticality of Risk and Issue Management for projects, programs and portfolios and share with us how the transparency of risks and issues has influenced successful delivery. Throughout this session, Michael will also provide us with insights regarding the communication of risks and issues and management of stakeholder expectations.
