ACS Canberra talks ‘IT careers’ at The BiG Day In 2016

On Thursday 2 June, ACS Canberra attended ‘The BiG Day In’ at University of Canberra. The BiG Day In™ is an IT careers conference designed by students with events occurring throughout Australia.

ACS Canberra is a partner and supports the work of ACS Foundation in raising awareness of ICT as an exciting and well paid career for students still deciding on their tertiary training options.

ACS Canberra Board member Martin Comans presented to the more than XX students that had attended the event at University of Canberra.

He spoke about the important of skills development and education and the wonderful opportunities afforded him in his career at the Department of Defence. “The future for students of today is to look ahead 5-10 years and the exciting opportunities that technology and computer are providing in what is the fourth Industrial Revolution. We are only seeing the beginning of an exciting era for all young ICT professionals.”  Said Martin.
