Cloud Computing & Business Intelligence combine forces with IBM

On Monday 30 May, John Heap, Client Technical Advisor at IBM Australia, will present on advances in Software Defined Environments (SDE), which dynamically reconfigure the pool of computing resources (CPU, storage, network) to support a computing service called infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

John has recently transferred to IBM Australia from IBM UK having been on international assignment for the past six years supporting major banking customers in his role as Client Technical Advisor based in London, Hong Kong and now Australia. This role bridges business and IT with the specific objective of developing and delivering value propositions which are pertinent to customers' business needs and includes leading the IBM technical team aligned to our major customers.

John has more than 25 year’s experience in a variety of roles ranging from developer through support manager to integration architect and then enterprise architect. He also has extensive industry experience spanning Manufacturing, Banking, Retail, Travel & Transport and Utilities and is a Chartered member (CITP) of the British Computer Society.
