ACS opens free certification for Associate Members
IT Professionals’ skills and experience to be recognised

ACS, the professional association for Australia’s technology sector, has announced free certification for Associate Members.
From today until 30 June 2020, ACS Associate Members can apply to have their skills and experience independently validated by the ACS.
Members successfully certified will be entitled to use the applicable Certified Professional or Certified Technologist insignia demonstrating they are part of an elite, internationally recognised group of technology professionals.
The latest member initiative comes after the recent announcements of a complimentary 6-month extension of membership, Employee Assistance Program coverage extended to members, the launch of the Industry Insights Leaders Series virtual events, and the introduction of an enhanced Careers Platform, ACS Certification will enable members to stand out in a crowded field of tech professionals.
Members attaining a Certified Professional status will also be eligible for additional benefits, including being recognised under Commonwealth and State Government Professional Standards Schemes, additional personal protection capping liability and increased insurance cover under the ACS insurance policy for eligible members.
ACS Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Johnson said: “With the global spread of COVID-19, Australia is experiencing a highly disrupted labour market and ACS is working hard to support our members during this time.
“To ensure members are well-positioned and placed for opportunities as we navigate through and emerge from this period, ACS is pleased to offer complimentary professional certification assessments to our Associate members.”
