This session examines how Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) can be applied to investigate and expose the opaque world of “bulletproof” hosting providers. Through a structured case study, we analyse a company that presents itself as a legitimate secure hosting provider, uncovering the networks, ownership structures, and operational practices that exist beneath the surface.

Bulletproof hosting services are widely known for enabling cybercriminal activity, including malware distribution, phishing campaigns, and illicit online marketplaces. Yet the organisations behind these services often remain deliberately obscured. This talk explores critical questions such as: Who operates these platforms? What business models sustain them? And how do they leverage complex corporate structures to evade scrutiny?

Attendees will gain insight into investigative methodologies and practical OSINT techniques used to trace digital infrastructure across the dark web, shell corporations, and offshore jurisdictions. This presentation provides both strategic context and actionable approaches for analysts seeking to better understand and disrupt hidden cybercrime ecosystems.

Post presentation light refreshments will be provided.
