Mikaela Jade

Mikaela Jade’s 4 x award winning company Indigital work to develop innovative new ways to digitise and translate knowledge and culture from remote and ancient communities. She has a background in environmental biology, and has spent most of her career as a national parks ranger.

Developed in remote Kakadu (NT) her signature mobile and hololens app, Indigital Storytelling, uses drones, 4D mapping software, image recognition technology and cultural law to bring the world's cultural sites alive through augmented and mixed reality.

A proud Cabrogal woman, she was chosen as one of 21 Indigenous entrepreneurs to attend the Prime Minister’s Reception for Indigenous Innovators and Entrepreneurs in Canberra.

She is also a United Nations Permanent Forum Indigenous Issues delegate, Tribal Link Alumni member (New York), Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Wollongong and Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Program. Mikaela joined Microsoft Australia's Reconciliation Action Plan Advisory Board in 2018.

She proudly partners with Shared Path Aboriginal Corporation, Microsoft and Telstra Enterprises to deliver Digital Custodians, a digital skills program drawing on cultural language and knowledge for cutting edge technology skills development in schools and communities. Together they work with some of the most remote Peoples' on earth using cutting edge digital technologies to translate cultural knowledge within Indigenous communities; showcase their cultural heritage to their visitors in compelling ways; and create jobs from the digital economy.

  • Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
  • Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
