ACS Young IT WA Career Planning Workshop

In this workshop we will be looking at strategies for starting your IT career.  We will cover planning your job search and effective strategies for targeting the hidden job market, writing targeted cover letters and powerful resumes to maximise their effectiveness.

This workshop is led by Carolyn Toleman, a professional coach who specialises in helping young IT professionals start their professional careers.  With eight years’ experience Carolyn has helped hundreds of students begin their IT careers by empowering them with the tools they need beyond their academic studies. 

Carolyn Toleman started her IT career as an Analyst Programmer working with ERP systems.  She has 7 years’ experience with the ACS Foundation working extensively with University and TAFE students.  She now works for ACS Education as a tutor for the ACS Professional Year program. 

She has a BSc with Honours in Computer Science from UWA, Grad Dip IT from ECU and more recently graduated with MComm Information Systems from Curtin University.

Carolyn can help you with your job search strategies, creating your personal marketing package and preparing you for job interviews.

The workshop will be held on Saturday 12ve September from 9:30 to 11:30am and will be held at the National Institute of Technology.
