Mark Toomey Elected to Fellow of the Australian Computer Society

On 3 June 2015, Mark Toomey FACS was welcomed as ACS Victoria’s latest Fellow, presented by Craig Horne MACS CP, ACS Victoria Chairman, at the June EdXN Branch Forum.

Since 2003, Mark has made a substantial contribution in Governance and Management of Information Technology. As Project Editor for ISO 38500, he was responsible for drafting the International Standard. Through consulting, research, publishing, education and public speaking, he has become a recognised leading expert in Governance and Management of IT.

He has written a book titled “Waltzing with the Elephant”, which is used as a prescribed text in Universities such as UPM in Spain. He has delivered ACS EdXN sessions in 2009 and 2014 and was recognized by his industry peers when he received the 2012 iAward for ICT Professional of the Year.

ACS Victoria would like to congratulate Mark on becoming the latest Victorian Fellow.
