2015-2016 YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAM
Standards Australia is pleased to call for applications for the 2015-2016 Young Leaders Program, which is designed to bring together Australia’s next generation of standards experts. The program provides an opportunity to become involved in the national and international standardisation supporting Australian industry, government and consumers.
Standards Australia is inviting 10 young professionals to participate in the Young Leaders Program. We will provide training and direct exposure to the Standards development process to develop the skills required to be successful in the technical committee environment. Participants will be paired with a mentor and will have the opportunity to attend relevant technical committee meetings for standards development projects.
Outcomes for participants on the program include:
- Gain a better understanding of standardisation
- Gain the knowledge and expertise to participate on a technical committee
- Learn how to draft standards
- Develop skills to be an effective committee member
- Develop a lasting career network

The Young Leaders Program has been designed to coincide with the IEC Young Professionals Program and two energy sector participants may be eligible to attend the IEC Young Professionals Program in November 2015. For more information please click here.
